sewing lessons.

sewing sewing sewing sewing sewing sewing sewing yesterday at the market, claudine and her friends taught us how to use a treddle. they taught us how to thread it, how to get it started, and we practiced sewing straight lines. we spoke in english and they spoke in kinyarwanda, but somehow we understood each other. :)

  2. That sounds so cool--the lesson, and the understanding each other despite the language barrier. That must have been a special experience. My grandmother is teaching me how to sew using a regular electric sewing machine, and I know I will always remember our lessons and projects.
